Originally released in the 1970s but rediscovered decades later, this track is one of the most striking homages to the legendary Sun Ra.

A hypnotic blend of structure and chaos, I love how it balances traditional Egyptian melodic motifs with free-jazz sensibilities.

→ Ra was the egyptian god of the sun, order, kings, and the sky. All forms of life were believed to be created by Ra, and in some stories they were produced from Ra’s tears and sweat, hence why the Egyptians called “Cattle of Ra.”
