rasarnava: The scarab god Khepri from the tomb of Queen…

rasarnava:

The scarab god Khepri from the tomb of Queen Nefertari. As part of a triad of solar deities with Re and Atum, he represented the rising sun. He was therefore associated with the dawn of creation and also with rebirth as the sun died in the west every evening and was resurrected in the east every morning. The scarab was the most popular shape for amulets for most of ancient Egyptian history.
