Neb-Ra was commander of one of the fortresses erected by King Ramses II to protect the western border of Egypt from the Libyans; it is located on the coastal road, about 300 km to the west of Alexandria, now is called “Zawiyet Umm el-Rakham”, and the statue was found at the fortress.
